Today (this morning) was with out a doubt the worst pain to date.  I give it a 9 out of 10 on the pain scale.  My are the worst, then my hands.  My knuckles are actually swelling up and causing my hands to look like I finally have .  I wanted to cry like a bitch it hurt so bad.  I went and had more blood work done and that was a pain (literally) having to walk through the hospital.  I can’t imagine what it would be like with out my pain medicines.  Right now, the pain meds knocked my pain down from a 9 to a 7.  That does not seem like much but I am VERY great-full for even that minor bit of relief (since I know what the full affect of this disease feels like minus any pain meds)!

My pain rating today is about an 8 out of 10 (10 being the worst).  After pain meds kick in (about an hour or two after taking them) I am at about a 5 which is tolerable / manageable.  My hands are the worst today followed by my lower back left hip and my knee’s & .  Swelling in my hands prevent me from even putting my own on today.  Using my cane heavily today.  Nothing else to report except the pain hurts…

This Week…

This week has been bad.  Every morning my hands have been the worst in terms of .  I can barely put on my on damn they hurt so bad.  Once I sit down, its a battle to get back up under my own power due to my knees and .  The pain meds I have been taking are not working as well as they normally should since I have been taking them for years now and my body has built up an to them so now I have to take double the amount I would normally take to get the same effect to take the edge off.  My next I am going to try and get different pain meds and alternate between the two so that they may work better.  Also going to try and get my doctor to up the corticosteroids.  I can’t believe I am still sane after all I have been through so far…

Pain

Every morning for the few weeks, it has been very difficult to get mobile.  My doctor even gave me higher doses of pain meds.  I am back to the point where I can not put on my own with out being in a of pain due to my hands and being so stiff and swollen.  I am no longer on and can not afford any of the new meds for .  I am just taking pain meds, anti-inflammatory meds and along with for depression and pain.  The pain that I feel now is normally reserved for the winter months.

My morning Pain Rating is about 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.  Evening Pain is around 3 or 4 for the few weeks.  I don’t see this getting any better.  This royally sucks.
