I can not remember the last time I felt this bad. Aching like the flu on top of arthritis with a fever really wreaks. Can’t breath. Coughing makes my lungs burn like their on fire. I got something I don’t know what it is. It feels like the flu minus the blowing chunks part. I missed two days of work so hopefully I have peaked with this shit and it is on its way out.

Today or I should say this morning, my eyes are swollen. They itch really bad like some kind of allergy reaction. My left eye is blood shot pretty bad. Yesterday, my right knee started to swell up and felt tight like the skin was tight and hurt like hell to move it. On a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the worst pain, it was at 7. I am taking prednisone pretty regularly these days as if I didn’t, I can only imagine how bad it would get. Other then yesterday and today, things have been going pretty well. My knee today is as if nothing ever happened and my eyes are frickin killing me. Almost to the point that they hurt. The corners of my eyes are swollen, the tissue or membrane in the corners, looks pretty nasty as they are swollen.

Well, I changed the theme of my blog. I couldn’t stand the 2 column layout any longer and the fact that I can’t sleep for what ever fucking reason means I am bored.

I am now going to start putting my physical presence in here so that all I have to do is click on a specific category to bring up the last times I felt that way. hopefully I can remember to do this at least once ever day or two. This way I have a better explanation for my rheumatoid doctor as I can never remember my general well being the past three months unless I have an extremely bad flareup. If anyone is interested in the drugs one would have to take due to Ankylosing Spondylitis and or Rheumatoid Arthritis (because the treatment is the same for both and the experts do not know which or both diseases I have - go figure).

My current medications:

• Mobic
• Prednisone
• Embrel Double Injection (weekly)
• Etanolol
• OxyContin
• Prozac
• Immetrex (injection)
• Vitamin D Supliment (prescription)
• Vitamin E Supliment (prescription)

Not all these meds are for my disease but holy fuck, they are for the side effects that the ones for my disease cause. I take drugs to stop the effects of other drugs I take. I take more drugs because of the side effects of my disease… its crazy. I will admit though, my favorite cocktail are Prozac, Prednisone and OxyContin. Especially the Oxy! Oh man, it takes the edge off the pain nicely. Doesn’t take the pain away but takes the sharp knife effect away for sure and the Prozac, well… all I can say about that is that I can now live with my disease and not give a rats ass about it anymore plus other benefits like no more panic attacks etc… I am thankful I don’t have a disease that will kill me in a short time period. This disease will kill me, but chances are not in the next 5 to 10 years like some other horrid diseases will.
